Yes, that is the plate number of my car, but believe me I know nothing of the kidnapping issue am innocent, although my car was stolen two days ago, but as I was coming to report to you people I saw my car on the road, I think that was where all this mistake was coming from, maybe they used my car for the kidnapping before dropping it on the road, I swear am innocent "joe explained and still they didn't believe him

"You are a big liar "detective Nathan said and they continue to torture him

Meanwhile Anita was at home when she heard that her husband was in the cell, Immediately she heard it she rushed down to the station and pleaded with them to release her husband that he is innocent, she even explained to them of how joe car was stolen two days ago, but they didn't believe her either, they said that joe must face the law if he doesn't provide his gangs and the girl they kidnapped, Anita tried everything possible to convince them that her husband was innocent of the accusation but they refused to listen to her, so she went home crying, some moment she called Sophia and told her everything and Sophia assured her that she will defend her husband even if they take him to court.

As all this was going on, the kidnappers were waiting for Mr Lawson to pay the money they demand for but he didn't pay the money, so the person they were working for called and told them that Mr Lawson was involving the police to trace them.

So boss what do we do now? one of the kidnapper asked

What you will do is to kill the girl since Mr Lawson have involved the police to trace you guys and also he don't want to pay the money we demand for, so there is no need to keep the girl, if not it will Implicate us, just kill her and drop her body in front of her father's compound, after all I have succeeded in my first plan of setting joe up, but my second plan to collect money from Mr Lawson didn't work out, anyway no problem just do as I said "their boss said and ended the call.

Later that night, the kidnappers killed Mr Lawson's daughter Jane, and took her body and dropped it in front of her father's compound and left without anybody seeing them.

The next morning, when Mr Lawson's gate man woke up, he walked to the gate and opened it to look around, but to his greatest surprise he saw a dead body beside the gate, at first he was scared to go near it, but later he gathered courage and went close to where the body was, he almost screamed on whom he saw, it was Mr Lawson daughter's corspe with fear he ran inside to inform Mr Lawson and his wife about their daughter's corspe he saw at the gate, immediately Mr and Mrs Lawson rushed out to confirm what the gate man was saying, when they got outside they saw the body of their daughter Jane, immediately Mrs Lawson saw her daughter's corspe she collapse, while Mr Lawson sobbed because Jane was their only child.

When detective Nathan heard about what happened to Mr Lawson's daughter, They took joe to court because they thought that he was among the kidnappers, when they got to court, Sophia was the lawyer who that will stand for joe, Anita, Stephen Sophia's husband, detective Nathan and others were all in the court, they all sat before the judge, but joe stood in front of everybody.

"My Lord, Mr Joe here is a kidnapper, he and his gangs kidnapped Mr Lawson's daughter unknown to them that the driver who was driving the girl to school when they attack caption the plate number of the car, and is through that plate number of the car that we were able to caught him, we have been telling him to show us his gangs but he refused to tell us and now his gangs have killed the girl "detective Nathan said while judge sighed heavily

So Mr Joe, what the detective just said now was it true? the judge asked

"No my Lord am innocent of the crime they are accusing me of, I know nothing of the kidnapping case "joe replied

So where is your lawyer who will defend you, because this is a kidnapping and a murder case "the judge said

My Lord, I am standing for him, he is my client "Sophia said

your client? ok, Mr Joe was accused of kidnapping and murder, do you have anything to say about it, I just need the truth and nothing but the truth "The judge said

I will say the truth and nothing but the truth, I have known Mr Joe for too long and also he is my client, Mr Joe here have been a good........."Sophia paused and look at Anita

This is the right time to get back at you Anita for what you did to me, because of you I didn't got promotion Seven months ago, I promise to make you shed tears and this is the right time "Sophia thought to herself and smiled

what is keeping you from talking, why did you stop? the judge voice jolted Sophia back from her thought

This is no time for thinking, just say what you know about Mr Joe, I need the truth and nothing but the truth "the judge said

My Lord, Mr Joe here is is........ a criminal, I have known him for too long to be a notorious person "Sophia said and everybody in the court was surprised including her husband Stephen

Sophia!! what has come over you, my Lord! my husband is innocent "Anita said surprisedly

Shut up your mouth, who asked you to talk, one more word from you I shall send you out from this court room "The judge warned Anita

please my Lord am innocent of this accusation "joe said looking at Sophia surprisely

shut up and allow the lawyer to talk "the judge yelled at joe, while Sophia smiled wickedly and continue talking

My Lord! this man is a bad man, am not surprise that he was involved in the kidnapping and murder because he have always lived all his life as a criminal, so therefore my Lord he is guilty of the crime of kidnapping and murder "Sophia concluded and that moment tears filled Anita's eyes because she could not believe that her best friend could be against her husband

"After hearing from detective Nathan and Mrs Sophia, we found Mr Joe guilty of the crime and so therefore he shall be hang to death "the judge gave his final judgement and joe screamed with tears
