Ondo People Unite Against Land Grabbers

Ondo people from around the world were United in decrying the activities of land Grabbers.

In an online discussion led by former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Joseph Akinlaja and moderated by Segun Adesemoye on the Ondo Community Reformation and Development Platform, the people described land grabbing as a menace that has hindered the progress and development of the kingdom.


It was further revealed that many successful Ondos who sought to build houses and factories has been defrauded and had their lands taken away by dangerous land Grabbers. in some cases, some were forced to repurchase the same land they had originally bought many times.

The meeting got emotional when a young man living in Canada relayed his bitter experience in the hands of land grabbers who made him pay severally for a piece of land and eventually took the land from him.
The people were unanimous in agreement that land grabbing has hindered development of Ondo Community and discouraged people from building their homes and investing in the community.

They condemn land grabbing and vowed to do whatever it takes to stop it in the Kingdom.
